The results for our latest surveys for Norfolk and Suffolk covering the quarter to 30 September 2014 are now available! Please click on the slider above to view the reports for your county.
Despite the extremely wet start to 2014, the April survey revealed a boost in visitor and guest numbers in the first quarter of 2014 with around 1 in 2 businesses reporting an increase compare to the same period last year. This encouraging start to the year continued into Q2 with the highest proportion of businesses reporting an increase in visitor numbers in the current series of business monitors. Confidence continues to improve which is indicative of the improving national economy. Businesses surveyed in July 2014 appeared to be much more optimistic about the Summer than those businesses surveyed last year. Despite the very wet weather, the results from Q3 the survey covering the quarter to 30 September 2014 revealed many businesses had enjoyed a successful summer and optimism strong for the future.
